Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities:

• Be the designer to lead various environmental graphic and sign design projects of the Walt Disney Imagineering Hong Kong team from concept to completion at Hong Kong Disneyland.
• Research and collect design information and prepare documentation in the form of illustration, photographs, scaled images etc.
• Develop environmental graphic and sign design solutions at all stages of assigned projects from concept design through the preparation of construction documentation.
• Ensure that the creative intent is achieved by successfully integrating environmental graphic and sign design with other disciplines and components of the facility exterior, interior and area development.
• Prepare specific deliverables including, but not limited to: locating signs on base sheets and elevations; material call outs; drawing packages to describe the sign's look and fabrication, production art; etc.  
• Ensures adherence to departmental and divisional Standards of Practice.
• Inspect graphic installation on site.
• Supervise Assistant Graphic Designer, other team members or consultants as required.
• Share responsibility for quality, timeliness and effectiveness of project team effort.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Graphic, Environmental or Industrial Design, Architecture, Visual Communication, or related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of experience within the discipline.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment, including architecture, interior design, area development, etc.
• Knowledge of all phases of sign design, technical requirements, fabrication and installation costs.
• Skills of environmental graphic design for theme park, resort facilities and knowledge of wayfinding systems and programming is preferred.
• Strong demonstrated ability to conceptualize themed environmental graphics and communicate design ideas. Strong design, layout and sketching skills.
• Good commend of computer systems and software for environmental graphic design and business communication:  Adobe illustrator and/or Macromedia Freehand, Adobe PhotoShop, basic scanning and printing software, Microsoft Office products—Outlook, Word, Excel
• Additional knowledge of the following programs is a plus: AutoCAD, Filemaker Pro, Quark, Director, 3-D rendering software, PowerPoint, Sketch Up.
