Overview

As a Jr. UX Designer, you will join Human Factors & Experience Design (HFXD) team: An engaged, multi-disciplinary team consisting of Industrial Design, UX/UI Design, UX Research, and Human Factors Engineer, working on the high-profile, flexible robotics platform, MONARCH™. We are passionate about harnessing design in a collaborative environment to craft compelling experiences for nurses and physicians.

 

Surgery is a team sport, so you will be encouraged to become familiar with a range of user types across a variety of clinical specialties. You'll bring your passion for design to a broad range of projects using both internal and external resources. Although the scope of your work is focused on digital interactions, this role should consider the physical experience as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the supervision of a lead and senior designer to produce high-quality work
  • Develop storyboards, information architectures, low and high fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and support design transfer to SW development team
  • Be involved with UX researcher to support test and iterate on design concepts
  • Be a strong advocate for user-centered design, collaborating with cross-functional partners
  • Work across multiple concurring projects

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:

  • BS/BA Degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, or equivalent is required
  •  

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 6month Co-Op or Internship experience (design portfolio is required)
  •  

Other:

  • This position is based in Santa Clara, CA and requires up to 10% (Domestic/International) travel.
  •  

The anticipated base pay range for this position is [$75,500] to [$122,000].

 

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
