About the Role

 

As a UX Designer, you will work closely with product and engineering teams to uncover user and business needs, translating them into delightful and intuitive user-centered design solutions. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, an eye for detail and is driven to make a large impact as part of a fast growing startup.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

 

  • Create user flows, wireframes, build UI mockups and prototypes of high fidelity. 
  • Conduct user research, interviews and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Create proof of concepts to envision how people will experience features and products.
  • Build and maintain consistent design standards across products.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in UX design, advocate for user-centric design principles within the organization.
  • Ensure the user interface design aligns with the overall brand guidelines and provides a cohesive user experience.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders in product, engineering and business to navigate ambiguity and help shape product strategy.
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback and stakeholder input.
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and according to specifications.
  • Attend PMC industry conferences to learn more about our property managers, investors and residents.

 

 ABOUT YOU 

 

  • 3+ years experience in product design or UX
  • Proficiency with design tools like Figma (or similar tool such as Sketch)
  • Experience designing in an agile development environment
  • Comfortable utilizing AI, a plus if you had working experience in the application of Conversational AI
  • Basic understanding of accessibility in design
  • Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing
  • Strong user empathy, with a passion for how your designs will impact them
  • A problem solver who is hungry to learn and grow outside of your comfort zone
  • Don’t hold your biases too closely and understand when to compromise
  • Knowledge of coding is a plus, with basic understanding of how your design decisions may affect engineering but not required.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and justify design decisions
