Senior UI Designer (Design System Specialist)

Job Description

We are looking for people who:

  • Have significant experience designing usable, intuitive, and aesthetically-pleasing user interfaces
  • Have a proven track record of creating and evolving multiplatform design systems
  • Clearly and persuasively communicate the rationale for design choices
  • Love experimenting and do not shy away from bold ideas, propose hypotheses and verify them
  • Are curious about the user, problem or the solution they are looking for
  • Are proficient in design tools like Figma and understand the development process
  • Have strong verbal and visual presentation skills that communicate the process, approach and impact of your design
  • Have strong attention to detail and a passion for consistency
  • Know English at B2 level

 

The following are also a plus:

  • Experience with design system implementation in a large-scale organization
  • Experience in public speaking and propagating the idea of design systems
  • Design tokens awareness
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and usability testing

In your daily work you will handle the following tasks:

  • Advocating for the design system's adoption and providing training to internal teams
  • Identifying the needs and solving the problems of internal and external users
  • Deciding about the shaping of the future allegro’s UI
  • Conducting design reviews and audits to maintain design system integrity
  • Driving accessibility and inclusivity initiatives within the design system
  • Collaborating with designers and developers
  • Developing solutions to be used by millions of people
