SENIOR CINEMATIC ANIMATOR

Guerrilla's Cinematics team is looking for Cinematic Animator with extensive expertise in humanoid movement and behavior, focused on crafting stylized, hand-keyed animations in cinematic sequences. In this pivotal role, you will become an integral part of a diverse team, engaging in dynamic collaboration with directors, designers, programmers, and production staff. 

 

Your role extends beyond the immediate team, involving strategic coordination with leads and directors from other animation departments to drive the aesthetic and animation standards in-game. This position requires a strong spirit of teamwork, aiming to develop animations that enhance the game's features and style, resonate with players, and embody the game's creative vision.

 

OUR CINEMATICS TEAM

The Cinematics Team is a multi-disciplinary group focused on creating compelling real-time scripted sequences. Working with Narrative, Gameplay, and Art teams we help to build and communicate an engaging story content that works hand in hand with our compelling gameplay.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Cinematic Animator, tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Create real-time non-interactive sequences for our next project from conception to integration.
  • Animate characters, props, and cameras to a high degree of polish.
  • Collaborate closely with Directors, Leads and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent unified visual style.
  • Actively push the quality standards for cinematic animation and pipelines to new industry benchmarks.

 

WHO YOU ARE

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have at least 6 years of prior industry experience in fields such as film, games, or television.
  • Possess command over animating stylized human acting and high-adrenaline action sequences.
  • Are experienced with key-framed animation.
  • Hold expert working knowledge of Maya.
  • Have a thorough understanding of cinematic development and storytelling, from pre-viz through final polish.
  • Stay updated on all the latest developments in animation techniques and workflows within the game and movie industry.
  • Exhibit excellent initiative, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and know how to manage your time effectively.

 

Plusses

  • Solid understanding of editing for film and games.
  • Deep knowledge of composition and framing using camera lenses.
  • Experience scripting and integrating into game engines.
