If you have experience developing streamlined interaction systems for games, managing a team of UX designers, and you are familiar with the live service model, we are looking for you!
Reporting to the Director of Experience Design, You will:
Responsibilities
Collaborate with, and take direction from, the Experience Design Directors and feature team members to take important UX-heavy features from concept to completion on a large project
Work with other designers and engineers, to understand and determine UX goals for evolving features
Guide the career development of reporting UX Designers, ensuring the team is challenged, growing, and productive.
Independently design solutions: concepts, wireframes, and prototypes while iterating based on your research, team feedback, and user feedback
Work with Production to coordinate schedules, and ensure the right designers are on the right tasks
Create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors for multiple environments and audiences
Build rapid prototypes for iterative design, ensuring they make for the best possible player experience
Document and promote awareness of UX standards, and push to improve UX design workflow processes
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in UX design
2+ year of management experience
Shipped at least 1 game or large-scale non-game project, in a UX design role
Experience with user-centered design, and a fascination for understanding how users experience a product
Proficient in user experience design tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe XD, Axure, or Omnigraffle)
Experience with the User Research Lab process, and understand how to use it.
Understand the importance of documentation and teaching others
Enjoy creative problems, and value respectful feedback processes
Broad taste in games
Valuable Additional Skills
Experience developing UX for AAA games, multiplayer games, live service games or FPS genre
Knowledge of Apex Legends, or other competitors in the AAA Battle Royale space.
Understand interaction design problems across and input constraints across consoles and PC.
Degree in Interaction Design, Psychology, Human Factors, Industrial Engineering or related HCI discipline
